The Waiting Light

Explore the official lyrics of ‘The Waiting Light’, a unique musical creation written and composed by Abu Sayed.

I see the sun sinking down on the quiet street
Now there is nothing but the sound of my own heartbeat
Until you walk through the door and the shadows ignite
We are taking our time in the waiting light
The wooden floor is creaking with every step you take
There is a sweet little promise in the moves you make
I slide my hands right down to your waist
Taking a moment just to savor the taste
The room is getting heavy and the air is getting warm
I am ready to surrender to your beautiful storm
You look at me with a spark in your eye
And we are letting the rest of the world slip by
Here in the dark, where the shadows play
I am pulling you close, I want you to stay
Caught in the pull of a beautiful sight
We are losing our minds in the waiting light
Yeah, the waiting light
Keep holding me tight
The old wooden chair is pushed to the side
I am letting my hands just gently glide
There is a quiet little rhythm in the way that we move
We have nothing to hide and nothing to prove
The room is getting heavy and the air is getting warm
I am ready to surrender to your beautiful storm
You look at me with a spark in your eye
And we are letting the rest of the world slip by
Here in the dark, where the shadows play
I am pulling you close, I want you to stay
Caught in the pull of a beautiful sight
We are losing our minds in the waiting light
Yeah, the waiting light
Keep holding me tight
The embers are glowing and burning so red
Echoing every sweet word that you said
We are crossing the line that we both wanna cross
In this beautiful moment, we are beautifully lost
And you know every secret, you know every need
Is safe in the heart and the arms of Sayed
Don't look away now
We have all the time in the world
Here in the dark, where the shadows play
I am pulling you close, I want you to stay
Caught in the pull of a beautiful sight
We are losing our minds in the waiting light
