The Last Autumn

Official documentation of lyrics for ‘The Last Autumn’, a signature song by Abu Sayed, showcasing his original songwriting and composition.

I can feel the autumn falling on your skin
Every time you look at me the nights begin
Got this fire burning in the fading light
Pull me closer in the shadows of the night
The leaves are turning amber on the gravel road
We left the heavy world and dropped the heavy load
I trace the little lines upon your open hand
We found a quiet corner in a sleepy land
You breathe a little slower when I hold your waist
A single drop of honey that I want to taste
The evening wind is calling out a gentle tune
We got a million miles beneath the harvest moon
This is the last autumn that we spend alone
I want to make your beating heart my only home
So let the seasons shiver and the rivers freeze
I’ll wrap you in my jacket underneath the trees
Underneath the trees
I’ll keep you warm tonight
Your hair is falling softly on my collarbone
A sweet and quiet melody I’ve never known
The embers in the fireplace begin to glow
I’ll take you on a journey where the lovers go
You breathe a little slower when I hold your waist
A single drop of honey that I want to taste
The midnight air is singing out a gentle tune
We got a million miles beneath the harvest moon
This is the last autumn that we spend alone
I want to make your beating heart my only home
So let the seasons shiver and the rivers freeze
I’ll wrap you in my jacket underneath the trees
Underneath the trees
I’ll keep you warm tonight
The shadows fall and trace across the wall
I’ll catch you every time you start to fall
The summer heat is fading into gold
Sayed will keep you sheltered from the cold
We watch the painted leaves upon the ground
There is a quiet magic we have found
Just lay your head upon my chest right now
Let the world keep turning while we make a vow
This is the last autumn that we spend alone
I want to make your beating heart my only home
So let the seasons shiver and the rivers freeze
I’ll wrap you in my jacket underneath the trees
