The First Embrace

The official lyric sheet for ‘The First Embrace’ by Abu Sayed. This song is an original creative work, written and composed by the artist.

I catch the fire in your steady gaze
The midnight shadows starting to erase
You pull me closer than the heavy air
And leave a burning that I want to share
The quiet corners of this sleepy town
Are waking up the second you sit down
A gentle brush of fingers on the glass
We’re making moments that are built to last
The flicker of the candle on your skin
Is telling me exactly where we begin
I feel the gravity, it pulls me deep
Into a memory I want to keep
This is the first embrace that sets the spark
A slow surrender glowing in the dark
I trace the edge of everything you are
And suddenly we’re falling like a star
Oh, falling into you tonight
I’m wrapped around your guiding light
We leave the conversation at the door
I’ve never wanted anybody more
The way you breathe against my collarbone
Reminds me I am finally at home
The flicker of the candle on your skin
Is telling me exactly where we begin
I feel the gravity, it pulls me deep
Into a memory I want to keep
This is the first embrace that sets the spark
A slow surrender glowing in the dark
I trace the edge of everything you are
And suddenly we’re falling like a star
Oh, falling into you tonight
I’m wrapped around your guiding light
The silence speaks a language of its own
A perfect rhythm we have always known
You pull me closer and I feel the heat
The quiet moments making it complete
I am giving you all the devotion you need
An honest confession delivered by Sayed
Look into my eyes right now
This is exactly where we belong
This is the first embrace that sets the spark
A slow surrender glowing in the dark
I trace the edge of everything you are
And suddenly we’re falling like a star
